Slow Motion Kisses

Written by Tim Whelan, Jim Irvin

Come and give me one of those big slow motion kisses,
Make me turn to stone.
Say the things you say that give me pins and needles,
Chill me to the bone.

It's a heart attack that I'm going to get,
Flat out on my back,
I want to taste your shiny sweat.

Come and pull one of those silly faces,
Stick out that velvet tongue,
Come and take me to a million different places,
You can only reach in love

An electric shock that we're going to share
I feel heavy as a rock
Then lighter than the air

Come and give me one of your big slow-motion kisses
Thrill me to the bone

Going to push and pull and bite and tumble
Tear ourselves in half
Melt inside one of those big slow-motion kisses
Make each other laugh

Come and give me one of your long slow-motion kisses
Thrill me to the bone
To the bone.

Commentary

Somehow Tim and Jim's blatant attempt to write a song for someone else became our first single for Arista five years later. This time the video was splendid, although we weren't in it. Jim and Sally made a rare TV appearance on Juke Box Jury as Mystery Guests. They received a unanimous thumbs-up and a chocolate orange for their trouble. Appropriate really.
