Farewell

Who took the bus?
Well, I took that lonely bus.
Where did you go?
Well, I had no special place to go.
You told us farewell
I told you farewell.
No destination,
I just packed a bag and got out of here.

Who stole the car?
Well, I don't know what you're talking about.
Who took your heart?
Well, I don't want to discuss that now.
Did you tell them farewell?
I told her farewell
But she was sleeping
May not have heard a word I said

I told you farewell.

What are your plans?
Well, now you're beginning to get on my nerves
Can't you leave me alone for a while?
Who do you love?
Well I don't see what that is to you
Anyway, there isn't anyone.
I'm so tired and I'd really like just to rest for a while.

Commentary

Coincidentally, this was our last song. Begun by Jim when he was 13 and completed by the group in a room in Dollis Hill in the spring of 1990. We wanted it to be a single at the time. Then there was talk of an album but it was never completed so this is the song's only appearance.
